It's adjustable for distance off wall, height, width, extension above top rung, and bracket spacing. If you make it too short, you neeed to make the bracket spacing smaller as well, or it won't work.
I wanted one that would work for both elevator pits and roof access. Could find one, so I made one. My first parametric family.

Cable Railing with flat stock balusters and top rail. Includes angled baluster at corners. 2 options: handrail and guardrail without handrail. It's not a family, it's a project, so you just have to copy/paste the railing into your project. I added a material parameter to the balusters. The materials of the rails can be edited in the railing properties window. |
